UAA Athlete of the Week
Jennifer Aronoff (Emory University):
Emory University senior Jennifer Aronoff won one event and recorded an NCAA Division III provisional qualifying time in another during a meet at Division I Clemson University on Saturday. Aronoff won the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:25.53 and finished second in the 100-yard breaststroke, recording a provisional time of 1:06.28. She also swam on the second-place 200-yard medley relay that clocked a 1:47.29 finish. Despite Aronoff’s performance, the Eagles suffered a 180-116 loss to the Tigers, ending their 2011-12 dual-meet season with a 3-6 record.
Sarah Greene (Emory University):
Diver Sarah Greene of Emory University recorded an NCAA Division III qualifying score in the one-meter dive during the top-ranked Eagles’ dual meet at Division I Clemson University on Saturday. Greene finished fifth and tallied a qualifying score in the one-meter dive with 265 points. She also finished sixth in the three-meter dive with a score of 255.70.
Other Outstanding Athletes
Maggie Dillione (Case) won the 200-yard individual medley (2:16.73), the 400-yard medley relay (4:08.69), and the 400-yard free relay (3:40.52).
