Billy Whitmore (University of Chicago):
University of Chicago junior Billy Whitmore turned in an All-America performance at the 2011 NCAA Division III Men’s Cross Country Championships. He finished seventh among the 279 national qualifying harriers with a time of 24:19.20 over the 8,000-meter course.
Other Outstanding Athletes
Michael Burnstein (Washington) placed 10th in a time of 24:25.25… James Vavra (Rochester) finished 18th overall in a time of 24:38… Both runners competed at the NCAA Division III Men’s Cross Country Championship.
