UAA Athlete of the Week

Jesse Schneider (New York University):
Senior Jesse Schneider New York University earned the fourth All-America honor of his career when he finished seventh in the 10,000-meter run at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships.  Schneider posted a time of 31:21.81 to earn his first All-America honor and finished 12th in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 15:11.06.  The Violets finished 66th overall at nationals.

Ben Harmon (Washington University):
Washington University sophomore Ben Harmon earned his second career All-America with a fourth-place finish in the decathlon with a personal record 6,811 points at the 2009 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Harmon placed first among the 16 decathlon qualifiers at the national meet in the high jump and the pole vault. He set a new personal record in the pole vault with a height of 4.65 meters. The Bears as a team finished tied for 37th-place overall with a team score of seven points.
