Offense:

Tyler Savonen 
Brandeis University 
Orleans, MA (Nauset Regional)

Brandeis University forward Tyler Savonen scored the game’s only goal as the Judges defeated Roger Williams University 1-0 to advance to the Round of 16 of the NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer Championship. The junior scored once and assisted on another goal in the Judges’ dominating 3-0 first-round victory over Johnson & Wales University.

Max Fan 
University of Rochester 
Colchester, CT (Loomis Chaffee)

University of Rochester senior midfielder Max Fan scored the game-winning goal as the Yellowjackets advanced to the Round of 16 of the NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer Championship. He scored in the 22nd minute of a 2-0 win over State University of New York Institute of Technology. Fan tallied in the 13th minute and assisted on the following goal in the 59th minute of a 3-0 victory over Oberlin College.

Joe Graffy 
Brandeis University 
Concord, NH (Concord)

Brandeis University junior goalkeeper Joe Graffy posted back-to-back shutouts in the NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer Championship. He made one save in a 3-0 rout of Johnson & Wales University and stopped three shots in a 1-0 Judges’ victory over Roger Williams University for his Association-best eighth shutout of the season.

Mike Moranz 
University of Rochester 
Pittsford, NY (Pittsford Sutherland)

University of Rochester senior goalkeeper Mike Moranz posted back-to-back shutouts in the NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer Championship. He stopped three shots in a 2-0 Yellowjacket victory over State University of New York Institute of Technology and made one save in a 3-0 victory over Oberlin College, his seventh shutout of the year and fourth consecutive.

Other Outstanding Performances

Brandeis University advanced to the NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer Championship sectionals for the second consecutive year. The Judges will play Williams College at Amherst College, trying to avenge a 1-0 loss to the Ephs at this stage last season… Rochester advanced past the second round of the NCAA tournament for just the third time in the program’s history. The Yellowjackets travel to Camden, NJ to play Montclair State University Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
