Jordan Edelman (Emory University):
Jordan Edelman of Emory University notched the game-winning penalty kick and assisted on the only goal during the fourth-ranked Eagles’ 1-1 NCAA Division III tournament second-round tie against North Carolina Wesleyan College. Edelman was the Eagles’ fifth competitor in the shootout and broke a 2-2 tie with a kick into the upper left corner of the net. Earlier in the match, the senior defender assisted on the only goal, heading a ball to Joey Howie inside the box, who converted it for the score. Edelman, a co-captain of the squad, has recorded a career-high six assists this season. His performance helped the Eagles advance to the Division III Round of 16.

Jonathan Laycock (Emory University):
Emory University goalkeeper Jonathan Laycock made two match-preserving saves during the shootout of the fourth-ranked Eagles’ 1-1 tie with North Carolina Wesleyan College in the second round of the NCAA Division III tournament. Laycock made diving stops on each of the Bishops’ first two penalty kick attempts, eventually setting up a 3-2 shootout victory. The senior allowed one goal through 110 minutes, converting three saves and lowering his season goals-against average to 0.37. Laycock, a Second Team All-Association selection, has matched a school record with a 16-0-1 mark this season.
