Wayne, NJ (Newark Academy)
Brandeis University sabre fencer Annabel Sharahy finished 8-1 as the Judges hosted the Brandeis Invitational. The freshman won all three of her bouts in a 14-13 win over Yale University and contributed the winning points in a 5-4 Judges’ victory over St. John’s University.
White Plains, NY (The Masters School)
Junior Adam Mandel posted a 13-2 record in the sabre as Brandeis University finished 2-3 at the Brandeis Invitational. He posted a 3-0 record against Johns Hopkins University, St. John’s University, and Yale University. Mandel won two of three bouts against opponents from the United States Air Force Academy and Columbia University.
South Orange, NJ (Columbia)
Sophomore Andrew Kelly finished 12-2 in the sabre at the Sacred Heart University Tradition Tournament. He posted a 3-0 mark against opponents from Sacred Heart and Vassar College and 2-0 against Princeton University. Kelly won two of three bouts against opponents from Harvard University and Penn State University.
Other Outstanding Performances
Jess Sherman (NYU) compiled six wins in epee at the Sacred Heart University Tradition Tournament. She recorded two wins against opponents from Vassar College and one each versus Harvard University, Temple University, and Penn State University.
