UAA Athlete of the Week

Wes Peacock 
Emory University 
Sherman Oaks, CA (Harvard-Westlake)

Junior centerfielder Wes Peacock led Emory University with a .588 batting average (10-for-17) and five runs scored in four games. He finished 3-for-4 with two runs scored, a triple, and one run batted in as the Eagles defeated Maryville College 8-5. Peacock totaled three hits, two runs scored, and two RBI in an 8-7 victory over Huntingdon College.

Tyler Sprague 
Emory University 
Encino, CA (Viewpoint School)

Emory University pitcher Tyler Sprague won both his starts during the week, allowing just five earned runs. The freshman struck out nine and limited opponents to a .255 batting average. Sprague allowed three earned runs, walked one, and fanned seven in a victory over Maryville College and followed that by allowing only two earned runs in a win over Huntingdon College.

Other Outstanding Performances

Max Golembo (Washington) doubled and drove in all three runs in a 3-1 Bears’ victory over North Central College. Max Gordon scattered four hits over 6.1 innings to earn the win and improve his career record to 9-3.
